I’m normally a medium, and that’s what I ordered. For my waist a medium was great if I wanted this to hit at the hip I would need a large. Color was true to the picture (taupe) it’s similar to a cotton t shirt. Not jersey super stretchy stuff. I wish the waist band had more give, overall its a pretty skirt
