So I don't normally leave reviews, but this one definitely deserved one. This is a MUST READ if you are ordering this shirt. Let me start by saying that I ALWAYS love my items from tickled teal, but this one was a true disappointment. For those who like to compare, as I do, I am 4'10'' and typically wear sizes 12-14-16 with Jane. I do like the fact that the sizing is more specific and broken down into several sizes, but they really need to re-consider adjusting the size chart. With past shirts from tickled teal, after reading reviews I have ordered a 14-16 versus 12-14, with perfect fit and loose in the abdomen. I did read to size up for looser fit; however, one of the shirts prior have said the same and the 14-16 worked well. After reading the reviews, many said: fit well, others were "too big". I decided to go with the usual 14-16, and this case was the 1X. After receiving, I was so excited until I wasn't! It was tight in the arms, chest, and abdomen. Shows every curve. The material is thinner than expected and not the typical "stretchy, thick, tickled teal" material. I am giving it 2 stars, because the size, the material, and seemingly "could careless" customer service reply. The color was as expected. I emailed asking for a return (which I didn't do because cost of shipping outweighed just gifting it out to someone who was smaller). I received a reply relatively fast, but it basically seemed like they were giving a response because they had too and not because they genuinely were sorry, saying: "Every body, shape, and size are different", as if I don't know this! I know reviews are based on that persons experience, but I'm more disappointed in comparison to other shirts I have ordered from this company. I'm not sure, because I don't have a larger size, but based on the fit of the 1X, I would say going up 2 sizes would give you the typical "tickled teal"shirt size fit.
