The shirt is extremely thin (see through)...wish it were not as I got this as a gift for an older family member

I wear a size 8/10 so based on the size chart I ordered a Large, thinking it would be loose and comfy. The shirt is SO tight that I would be embarrassed to wear it. Very disappointed because the shirt is really cute, soft and good quality. Just order a size up.
