I sized up because I wanted a looser fit, but the medium it's fitted like a small. Also, I have a short torso but even the medium is short in length and I wish it were longer for me to feel more comfortable.

These are super cute but they run extremely small! We ordered a Small 2-4 for my daughter which is her normal size in all other jeans/pants/leggings that she has but these had to be returned. We were very disappointed and surprised at how small (some stretch) and short they were - I compared them to a Girls size 10/12. I was able to return them for a refund but we had to pay shipping both ways and shipping from our area to CA was fairly expensive. If you want to take a chance I'd definitely recommend that you size up.
